FAQ

Curious about the world of pole? We look forward to seeing you!

  • What is pole dance?

Modern pole dancing is a form of dance and fitness, originating from strip clubs in the 70's and 80's. As new "tricks" were developed, strippers began teaching each other and some eventually went on to open the very first pole dancing studios in the late 90's. Since then, pole dancing has continued to gain momentum. We pay homage to the roots of our amazing art form, acknowledging the people who created what we know and love today as pole dancing.

  • What should I wear to class?

Most people come to their first class in a singlet and shorts, which is perfect for beginner classes. Certain moves require thigh and stomach grip, so shorts and cropped tops are helpful.
